Antique pocketwatch by Elgin with serial number 12548797 is a 16 size, 17 jewel, grade 340, model 7 movement that dates to about 1907. Movement runs but likely needs a proper cleaning and servicing for accurate time keeping. There is a chip to the dial under bezel at 1 o’clock. There us a small dentvti bezel and some faint wear to case. Otherwise, the watch is in pretty excellent condition. See photos for more details.
Pocket watch is an excellent condition. Does not appear to have been carried or used much by original owner. It is personalized with the owner’s name inside the case “Mrs N W Painter” and dated “1902″. Case looks to have been engraved with minimal wear to the exterior. Pocket watch has been described to the best of my ability and m in as much detail as my knowledge will allow. The only guarantee that I can give you is that the points that I’ve touched on here in the description are indeed accurate. Overall, the watch seems to be one of the best examples of an Elgin of this model that I have been able to find.
