Light signs of age at most as seen in pictures. MOVEMENT CONDITION: All three hands are still on the watch. The watch does wind but the time cant be set. Will need some maintenance. This is an excellent antique Elgin 18 size 21 jewel Veritas pocket watch in a Defiance base metal case out of an estate! The lever-set movement has is marked: Veritas Elgin, Ill. 9348750 Safety Barrel 21 Jewels Adjusted. The double-sunk dial is simply marked Elgin. The dial is in fair condition, there are some hairlines in the finish, and repaired chips – see photos. The original glass crystal is in fair condition, there are some light scratches. The case is in good condition, there are light scratches, and no wear-through in the finish. The train engraved on the case back looks excellent! Inside of the case back is marked: DEFIANCE 3313883. The watch will currently wind/set, and will run when wound. We do not know the service history on this watch, and recommend it be serviced to keep running and keep time.
