Pocket Watch Case

Exceptional antique c1894 Elgin 0 size 14K solid tri-color gold hunter case pocket watch featuring a bird on a branch on the back cover with further floral accenting throughout. The mechanical wind up 7 jewel grade 109 movement(serial #5233453) presently runs and keeps good time. The case is in excellent condition. There are no dings or dents and very modest wear. All raised relief work is perfect with no wear. The front cover shows a small mostly faded MSC? Monogram in a crest form cartouche. The inner dust cover is engraved Planet Prize Dec. The case is stamped warranted U. The case measures 1 7/8″ long(top of crown to bottom of case) x 1 3/8″ wide and has a gross weight of 38.3 grams. All covers snap closed. The crystal is clear with no cracks or scratches and the dial is clean. The only flaw that I can see is a tiny hairline on the outer edge of the porcelain dial between VIII and XI. A lovely timepiece that could easily be given as an award or a gift or a cherished keepsake for a loved one.. Please enlarge all pics for best details.
