This is a vintage 16 size display back pocket watch case. The square is broken off the stem, so it will need a new stem. This is for a lever set movement. It has the slot for the lever and the stem does not pull out for pendant setting. It has a glass crystal on one side (with one edge chip at 4:30 in the pic) and an acrylic crystal on the other side. The bezels are tight and you will need a case knife to remove the front one to set the watch. Other than the stem, the case is in nice condition and the bow is tight. There is no brassing on the case. What might look like brassing in the pic’s are just reflections. The case diameter is 50.4mm not including the pendant & bow. Please see pictures for description. Howard Series Vll N Size Pocket Watch The N stands for 18 size in E. The watch serial number is #205674. The watch is displayed in a Beautiful Size 18 Open Face Case with a Train engraved on the back of the case. The Case is made by “Defiance” and is case number #3422011. The Movement Configuration is for a Hunting Case but looks amazing in the Open Face Train Case. The Movement Setting is Pendant. The Movement is a stunning Nickel Single Plate Movement. The balance wheel moves freely and is running great. I ran the watch for 24 hours and it’s keeping accurate time, so it appears to be running strong.
