Pocket Watch Case

This is an antique (circa 1896) Hampden Special Railway 17J pocket watch with 18s gold filled Hunter case. Its condition is consistent with its age. The hunter case is operational; it opens and shuts as it should. The outer back lid is marked “Dueber Canton O USA trade mark 3347397″. The inner back lid is marked “Guaranteed to be made of 10 Karat Gold over hard metal and to wear for 20 years”. It has the same trade mark number as the outer lid. This piece has a Roman Numeral dial. All three hands are intact, however the hour hand is slightly bent. Dial has some minor signs of wear, mainly dirt/grease accumulation. The serial number on the movement is. According to the Pocket Watch Database, this serial number dates the watch to 1890. The watch Does Not currently Wind, Set or Run. The case is a “Royal Arrow” Case of Unknown Content (Assumed to be base metal). The watch bezel is loose, and does not easily snap into place (may be the wrong bezel altogether). This is a very nice silver case Hampden John Hancock 21 jewel pocket watch. It has a sterling silver case. It is a swing out movement and a lever set. The case has some little scratches on the back and one minor dent on the back. It is a size 18. It has 1 small chip on the bottom edge of the crystal and a couple of small flakes on the crystal edge. The crystal is glass. The watch is running. The dial is good and does have some hairlines and the movement is clean. It is Grade No, 308, Model 5, with 17J and it is a 12s. The beautiful spotless movement, Winds, Pendant set and running with strong beat and great accuracy! This watch was last serviced on June 22, 2018. The original double sunk dial is showing some light hairline, has Arabic Numerals and the sub-dial at the 6 positions, Has beautiful deep blue spades hands in excellent condition. Housed in a beautiful original Hunting case by Dueber Special 25-Year’s case in amazing condition, all the covers open and close nicely and very firm sitting perfectly upright. 1915 Hampden, Canton Ohio U. 18 size, 17 jewels pendant wind set antique pocket watch in excellent looking & running condition. The watch was professionally serviced recently, runs strong and keeps good time. The serial number on the Model 3 full plate movement is 3034851 which dates it to 1915; it has 17 jewels, a micrometric regulator, a patented safety pinion, intricate damaskeening and fancy gold washed lettering. The original porcelain enameled single sunk dial is in good condition, has a small chip near the bottom. The deep blued steel hands are in excellent condition. The Keystone Watch Case Co. Polished Silveroid (nickel silver) case is in excellent original condition, no dents or monogram. The hinges are good and the covers shut tight. The brass bow and nickel plated crown are in very good original condition. The new old stock amber colored acrylic crystal is in fine condition. The case measures approximately 2-3/16 inches in diameter (not including the bow & crown) x 3/4 inch thick including the crystal. This is a nice restored antique timepiece for your collection and use, also makes an excellent gift! My pictures have many unavoidable shadows, reflections and some dust spots that will be cleaned; the watch looks fine in person! Hampden 18 size pocket watch from 1909. It has a custom made display back case. It runs good and keeps time to within a minute a day. The movement is a Deuber Grand and is 17 jewel adjusted. This is one of their best movements.
