Early Verge Fusee pocket watch is quite stunning. All hinges are good and opens and closes as it should. The gilt paire cases have some of the gilding present and the outer case is covered in green shagreen. IN very good condition. Theouter case measures 48mm diameter. Inner case has the inscription I. Died Feb 10th 1837 aged 85. The very fine giltverge fusee movement is in great funning order and keeping good “verge time”. Pearson-London and is numbered. Protecting the steel balance a finely engraved and pierced piece wide footed balanced cock. The pierced and engraved decoration continues around the silver disc regulator. Early watch with baluster pillars. The white porcelian dial is in good condition with no apparent chips or cracks. Roman Numeral numbering and probably original hands. Pocket watch case is marked K14 for 14KT Gold. This case measures 43mm. Includes the wind key to wind pocket watch and adjust the time. There is a crack in the window of the pocket watch but the glass is holding together (See Close Up Photos). The watch is in working condition it has been running. It is running slow on time. Throughout the day all day it was running about 5 minutes slow most of the day and by the end of the day it was almost 10 minutes slow. It can be adjusted to run faster just don’t want to fool with it and possibly damage it. I pack your items like I would want my stuff to be packed, safe and sound.
