The nob on top of the release button is missing, age related dings. The size of the case with then watch is 43 m. Both cases are well hallmarked London 1795. All the hinges work well on the cases. Very nice black hands that look original. The glass is very high bull nose. The fire gilt movement look just like the day it left the work shop. The watch runs well C + or 2- 3 minutes per hour. With a very very fine engraved back plate with a decorated and engraved balance cock, a silver Tompion regulator. Signed on the back plate R WALKER LONDON The watch will come with a key. Offered is a nice 1912 Elgin BW Raymond pocket watch. This is a 12 size extremely high grade with ruby jewels and raised gold jewel settings, including the motor barrel jewel. The watch is triple signed, from the silver Breguet style dial, movement, and scarce Elgin National Watch Co Case. The pics show the condition, no brass showing on the case with tight bow, only fault of note is the scratches from careless opening on the dust cover, I’ve tried to show these in detail. Movement runs with god motion and is as new to new as you’ll find. A very nice all original watch. J RICHARDS STERLING SILVER PAIR CASED VERGE FUSEE POCKET WATCH. IN WORKING ORDER AND GOOD CONDITION. THE CASES Two strong and solid sterling silver plain polished original matching cases. Both cases Hallmarked London 1766 and case maker stamped WB (William Butcher, Golden lane London, probably). The plain polished outer case has a press button opener at 3 o clock position. The inner plain polished silver case has one keyhole at the back and a hinge opening front bezel to access the swing out movement. It has a long stem pendant and a silver verge bow. It is in very good condition for age without any discerning faults. Both cases have strong hinges and both cases close firmly. The outer case press button works correctly and the silver bow has no chain rub. The Outer case measures 53. Mm (approx 2.1 inches) in diameter from side to side. The combined weight is 108g (3.8ozs) including movement. The cases have no personal inscriptions and are original to the movement. THE DIAL & CRYSTAL A white enamel dome verge dial. With black Roman hour numerals and outer Arabic minute numerals, stove black beetle & poker hands and a high dome bullseye mineral glass crystal. The dial is near perfect condition without any chips, the mineral glass crystal is in very good condition without any chips. THE MOVEMENT A key wound and set English verge fusee movement signed J Richards, London and serial numbered 26800. It has Square pillars, a flat rimmed polished steel balance, ornate pierced balance cock and pierced cock foot incorporating a Tompion disc regulator and finished with blued screws. The movement is all complete and in good strong running order, it is currently keeping to very good verge time and would likely benefit from a general service to maintain its longevity. Hamilton 992 Double sunk dial Montgomery dial. Running and keeping time but has not been checked for down to the minute accuracy. The back is slightly cross-threaded and leaves a slight gap on one side when screwed down. There is a hairline in the middle sunken dial right above the’55′ mark on the sub-dial.
