Balance is ok, chain is here but not working, looks gummy and needs cleaning and oiling. Inner case winding hole is off the center (picture #5) and I think that movement is not original to cases but it is only my opinion. Hinges has to be adjusted to work properly. 1904 Rockford Watch Company, Illinois U. 0 size fifteen jewels stem wind & set hunter case antique pocket watch in excellent looking and running condition with a fine Victorian era fob. The movement was professionally serviced recently, runs strong & keeps good time. The serial number on the low production Grade no. 160, Model 1 movement is 636436 which dates it to 1904. The movement has 15 jewels, a micrometric regulator, safety pinion, a very fancy damaskeening pattern on the back plates and nice engraving on the balance arm. The original single sunk porcelain enameled dial with black numbers and red 5 minute markers is in good condition with some light hairlines and a small chip repair which is mostly covered by the bezel, but still looks good as it is. The matching gold plated hands are in fine condition. The new G-S acrylic crystal is mint. The fancy Philadelphia 20 Year gold filled triple hinged case has an inlaid 1.5mm diamond chip on the back cover, and is in excellent condition with very light wear, no dents or monograms. The hinges are fine and the covers close tight. The approximate case measurements are 1-7/16 inches in diameter (not including the bow & crown) x 7/16 inch thick. The bow and crown are in excellent condition with very light wear. The fancy Victorian era fob measures approximately 8-1/2 inches in overall length and is in fine condition, no monogram and all complete. 18th Cent Silver Square Pillar Pair Cased Verge Fusee Pocket Watch, John Lumprey, Banbury 1760. This listing is for a square pillar verge pocket watch, by John Lumprey circa 1760. In great condition and good working order. The watch has a square pillar verge fusee chain driven movement with large D foot pierced balance cock and Tompion style regulator disk. The movement is working well and runs the full length of the chain. Movement signed Jn’o (John) Lumprey, Banbury, 203. Sterling silver matching pair case. Unfortunately no visible hallmarks, but guaranteed silver, matching and original to the watch. It wasn’t uncommon to have silver watch cases made without hallmarks in the 18th century. Both cases in good condition with some signs of wear and light marks commensurate with the watches age, please see pictures for more details. The white enamel dial in reasonably good condition with a couple of light marks to the surface. Original steel beetle & poker hands. Original thick domed bullseye glass in good condition. The watch measures approx 53mm across. The movement has been removed from the case to photograph. All my watches are tested on a flat surface.
