Bartlett Keywind Pocket Watch. This antique pocket watch is 18 size (case diameter 58 mm). The movement is a P. Bartlett grade by the American Watch Co. Later to be called Waltham. The movement has 15 jewels and is keywind and keyset. The movement dates to about 1883. The original gilt finish is excellent and the movement is in overall excellent condition, however, the balance is sluggish and as a result this does not run and will need to be cleaned and oiled. The dial is original porcelain, correctly marked, and excellent with no damage. The Keystone coin silve case is also original and is a heavy 4 ounces and so marked. The case shows even wear and no dents. As you can see, the case has a lot of tarnish that will polish out if you prefer shiny antiques. The front cover spring is weak, so this only opens about halfway under the spring power. Otherwise, nice case and nice watch all the way around. Sorry, this is NOT a “Make Offer” listing. We offer for your consideration a vintage 10k gold filled HAMILTON RAILWAY SPECIAL open face pocket watch from a 90 year-old lady’s estate. This watch was kept in the family and works beautifully with an easy twist dial on the top. It measures just over 2 across. The back casing twists open and closes easily. The mechanics on the interior appear as fresh as original; it is all clean and free of obvious tarnish or rust. You will note from the photos the watch is clean. The white face is clean. The blue hands move easily and keep time perfectly. The seconds hand moves nicely. The front crystal is intact and free of noticeable issues or blemishes. The casing shows minor age related wear with rub and scratches, but nothing significant. This watch weighs 109g with the chain included on the tray, and 99g without the tray. It is marked 21j. We will pack this item with care to ensure safe travels. Our small rural post office is closed on Saturday. 1917 WALTHAM USA 15 JEWEL Grade 620. 10CT GOLD FILLED DENNISON MOON CASE. Gentleman’s original American Waltham, U. 15 jewel pocket watch, with beautiful ivory porcelain dial and a highly polished, 10 carat rose gold filled (known in the UK as rolled gold) original Dennison “Moon” case. The case serial number is 592470 20 S. This would indicate it was made in 1920 (The S is the goldsmith’s initial). The movement serial number is 21285857 which dates to 1917. The watch is in good working order and keeps good time. The case is in very nice condition with no dents but a couple of small grazes at around the 4 position as can be seen in the photos. The porcelain face is in lovely clean and bright condition with just one hairline mark from the 2 position down to 5 on the second hand dial. Comes in a probably original soft leather pouch. Total weight is 102 grams. Measures: 5cm diameter, x 6.9cm from top of bow to base of hinges x 1.5cm thick. A very nice fully working antique pocket watch. Illinois Bunn Special 21 Jewel Railroad Pocket Watch. This Illinois railroad watch is 16 size (case diameter 50 mm). The movement is marked Bunn Special, with 21 jewels, raised gold jewel settings, gold center wheel, and is marked Adjusted Temp. And 6 Positions as required for railroad service. Themovement condition is exceptionally nice – I see no flaws. This watch is in the original “Bunn Special Model” railroad case. The case is pink gold filled with moderate wear, and has a ring of brass along the back edge, bezel, crown, and on the bow. The back has some extremely faint waves. This is an honest, original case that has been carried a fair bit. Most railroad pocket watches were working watches and were carried 6 or 7 days a week. The original, double sunk dial is porcelain and has correct plum-colored hands and bold numerals both correct for the time period. The dial has NO chips, and NO hairlines. This watch was made in about 1924. This watch runs and keeps reasonable time, but I do not know the history of this watch, so it may need to be serviced. Sorry, this is NOT a “Make Offer” listing. The extended solid gold crown is in excellent condition, as is the chain ring. This is a beautiful and clean manual key wind and set miniature stunning VERGE FUSEE FRENCH FULLY SIGNED movement. The movment is gilded AND LOOKS LOVELY. Themovement is signed for CHEVALIER PARIS and is numbered. This shows that this is a true original case and movement match and is not a marriage. The movement winds and sets as it should. Verge fusee movements will not keep great time and this one keeps time to about 10 mins per day. There is NO exception.
