Pocket Watch Case

Grade 992B, 21 jewels, size 16. Stem wound, lever set. Adjusted to temperature and 6 positions. In a 10k gold filled case. Runs and seems to keep good time. Dial has an edge chip near 8 o’clock. Crystal is excellent, but may be loose. Case has a few light dings, but no brassing. Covers are a little tricky to screw down, but they work. Case is 51mm wide, and 57mm tall with the crown, 62mm with the hoop. Total weight is 102.2 grams. Check out the other jewelry I have listed. Item pictured is the item you will receive. Beautiful Large Solid and super clean English made by George Clarke of London, Serial no. 7495 Silver pair cased verge fusee. Sharp Solid sterling silver case is Silver hall marked (d) 1819 of London assay. Beautiful Outstanding condition, off white colored porcelain dial with nice Bold Roman numerals and large sub seconds dial. Beautiful solid Gold colored hands. The dial shows just some light spider lines otherwise is truly beautiful. Absolutely spotless high domed bulls eye crystal. All case covers open, close and fit perfect together with nice and tight hinges. Key wind and key set pocket watch runs full length of chain. Balance has beautiful motion. The balance bridge is beautiful With its unique face and ornate scroll work. The movement is super clean with bright blue screws and a push arrow index for regulating. Pocket watch has a perfect fitting dust cover and a functioning stop/start switch. The watch measures approx. 58mm excluding the bow. Pocket watch runs outstanding and keeps great fusee time, last checked about +/- 3 or 4 minutes within approx. 24 hour period hanging from a hook in the vertical position…….. But cannot guarantee accuracy upon sale. These watches are verge type. Meant to keep time, not perfect time 197 years ago. Also special care must be taken not to overwind these old museum pieces and always remember to wind counter clockwise. Inside the case is an old watch makers paper from Louth England. Panzer Division Frundsberg German Officer Silver case pocket watch. Watch is in practically very good state with slight tear & wear. Vintage watches generally experience an error of up to 5-9 minutes a day. Any accuracy of +- 5 minutes is very good. Be careful and gentle when adjusting the movement speed (faster or slower). Don’t make sharp movements, and don’t touch other components in the movement especially the pendulum mechanism. All items are packed very well & should have no problems with arriving in good conditions. The 10th Panzer Division Frundsberg or 10. Panzer-Division Frundsberg was a German WW2 panzer division. The division was formed at the beginning of 1943 as a reserve for the expected Allied invasion of France. However, their first campaign was in Ukraine in April 1944. Afterwards, the unit was then transferred to the west, where it fought the Allies in France and at Arnhem. The division was moved to Pomerania, then fought south east of Berlin in the Lausitz area until the end of the war. The division received the honor title Frundsberg, which referred to the 16th Century German commander Georg von Frundsberg. The division was mainly formed from conscripts. It first saw action at Tarnopol in April 1944 and later took part in the relief of the German troops cut off in the Kamenets-Podolsky pocket. It was then sent to Normandy to counter the Allied landings, where, along with the Division Hohenstaufen, it took part in fighting against the Allied Operation Epsom. The division suffered heavy casualties and retreated into Belgium before being sent to rest and be reconstituted near Arnhem, where it soon had to fight the Allied parachute assault during Operation Market Garden at Nijmegen, in the Netherlands, when together with the 9th Panzer division it constituted the II Panzer Corps. After rebuilding, it fought in the Alsace in January 1945. It was then sent to the Eastern Front, where it fought against the Red Army in Pomerania and then Saxony. Encircled at the Halbe Pocket, the division had many losses but managed to break out of the encirclement and retreat through Moritzburg, before reaching the area of Teplice in Czechoslovakia, where the division surrendered to the US Army at the end of the war. The (RZM), formally located in Munich, was the first and eventually the primary Zeugmeisterei (quartermaster’s office), as well as the national material control office of WW2. This is in a white gold solid 14K case. The spring that the stem winds holds a good strong wind. The balance rotates and engages, but is pretty gunked up and moves really slow. It doesn’t run.
