Dial : Illinois “Blindman” style, 16 size, open face, double sunk enamel, ultra bold black Arabic numerals with surrounding “arrows-out” black five-minute-markers, fancy dress or railroad dial. This dial is in perfect shape, with no hint of any hairlines, chips, cracks, chaffing, stains or scratches whatsoever. A super cherry dial! Case : Choice and collectible Illinois First Model “Bunn Special Model #28″ 16 size, open face, Keystone J. Boss 10K smooth yellow gold fill, slot right, screw-back-and-bezel, fancy dress model. Here’s Illinois’ 1930s era elegant #28, with a wide, smooth back framed by concentric circle patterns and delicate milling, a railroad-thick neck, wide, wind-able crown, and distinctively designed arching bow! This much sought after case is in fully serviceable condition. I have restored and detailed this case right down to the threads so you get the best looking and working case possible! The back and bezel thread up easily, screw on and off smoothly, and both seat tight. The matching original crown’s fluting is well defined for a tight, sure grip, and it turns freely but, by design, does not extract, so only a lever-set e. Bunn Special movement will work inside. The bow is also its correct original, shows light brass but zero damage, and swings loose. The crystal is a thick beveled glass model and is brand new – recently installed. The case does show very, very minimal wear, including light, evenly distributed carrying wear, zero doodlings, one screwmark inside the back but no other marrings, a light ring of brass around the exposed edges of the watch, and best of all, certifiably no dents, dings, dimples or depressions!!
