The only thing keeping this watch from mint is several superfine hairlines on the 142 year old snow white fine porcelain dial and the front cover opens slowly on it’s original hinge to just past 90 degrees. Note the extraordinary engine turned decorated covers. They show NO sign of age or use wear. Incredibly beautiful and never seen! Not too shabby for a 142 year old solid gold pocket watch! This beautiful antique timepiece is a larger size with a case diameter of 44mm. The watch weighs a substantial 72.2 grams, about half of which is 14K gold.
