Pocket Watch Case

This watch will look better in your hand than it does in the pics. A solid example of an early 14 sized American pocket watch in all original condition and running strong. This watch is cased in it’s original, quality Nickel/Silver case (unsigned) identified by it’s unique large pin set, screw on back and snap-on front bezel. Case wear is low for the age with minor, normal surface scratches and marks, but general appearance is well above average. Case diameter is large for a 14 size at approx. The watch winds, sets and runs strong and is keeping good time, as it has been recently serviced. The visually clean, full plate gilt movement appears all original. It’s signed’A. Waltham Mass”Bond St.’Safety Pinion’ and serial number’2961283′, dating it to approx. The Roman Numeral indices, porcelain dial has a sub second hand at 6 o’clock and is signed’A. W. Co’, which is correct for this movement and is hand painted. It is in excellent shape, with one barely visible hairline crack, but no chips. The beveled, bowed glass crystal is HUGE and in equally clean, original condition. This is a very solid watch and running strong…. Superb mint looking Longines heavy gold filled hunting case with pretty patters, made in 1890′s. The watch runs strong and keeps good time. Due to the existent gold weight in these massive watches (at least 10 % of their weight) , they can’t no longer be cheap as they were once. The cost of gold has tripled in the last 10 years.

SOUTH BEND STUDEBAKER RUNS! 21 JEWEL 8ADJ 16 SIZE POCKET WATCH STRONG RUNNING. Good running example of a South Bend Studebaker eight adjustment high-grade Antique Pocket Watch. Watch is 16 size and marked Studebaker 8 adjustments, South Bend Watch Company 21 jewels double roller. An interesting Watch related to the famous Studebaker brothers and the Studebaker car company. Watch runs good and seems to keep time well but I have not checked it over a long period. Winds and sets well and case open and closes easily. Case has pattern that is sharp with little wear and is an attractive case. Dial looks to be an original silver colored Arabic Railroad dial that is marked Studebaker but shows some discoloration and use. Please see pictures for more information and condition. I have a great running Illinois 12s 19J Serial # 4091547, Gold Screw Kit, New NOS Mineral glass crystal, perfect blued hands, a nice gold metal dial in good condition. Serviced 2 years ago from my personal collection. It has a 14 WKGFilled case with very little not noticeable wear, also in great condition. Cased in a gold-filled Keystone Extra case (swing out), serial number 1549649, signed E. Double sunk “Howard” RR dial has hairlines around 12 and 1 o’clock, along with a repair near the lever set mechanism. Movement produced by the E. Howard (Keystone) watch company. Movement serial number is 1146740. Nickel finish, series 10, size 16s, 21 jewels, openface, lever set, adjusted to 5 positions and temperature. The watch case is in good overall condition but shows normal wear and a few marks/small dings around the edges and minor brassing. Swing out mechanism works well. Front bezel screw on and off nicely. Movement runs with robust motion in all positions. This movement has recently been serviced and a new mainspring was installed. Watch is keeping good time. Excellent double sunk RR dial with a few hairlines around the 8 o’clock mark. Hands are in nice condition. Movement produced by the Waltham watch company in 1902. Movement serial number: 12079602. Nickel finish with stunning. Vanguard grade, model 1892, size 18s, 23 jewels, lever set, adjusted to positions, railroad grade. Solid 14K gold BWC Co. Case marked “warranted 14k to assay” with serial number 6219719. Front and back snap shut nicely. Front of case is engraved with initials. Case is in good shape but shows normal wear and slight indentions from closing. There is a dent between the hinges… Probably from a drop. Front cover opens more than 90 degrees… Probably closer to 120 degrees. Back opens to 90 degrees. Case is missing the bow. Plastic lens show some wear. Watch winds and sets wonderfully.
