1873 solid 18k gold w/ enameling hunter case 8s 15j Amn. Watch Co Waltham Pocket Watch. Small hairline cracks in dial runs can be seen in photos. Small ding inside case opening lid, not noticable from outside. Exterior of watch and case are flawless. Engravings are elegant, beautiful and precise. Enameling is excellent and shows little signs of wear. Original serial of authenticity inside watch. A limited number of this pocket watch was ever produced. Totally diameter is 42.53mm. Total weight is approx 46 pennyweights with movement inside. We can not control what the post office does after it leaves our hands. The dial in very nice condition for its age. The blued steel poker hands with fleur de lis type designs also in very nice order. Large sub seconds dial. Also on the base of the inner case, there is a little flip switch that allows the watch to be stopped and started. Pair cased, meaning the outer case separates from the inner as shown in photos, the watch still has its original bullseye glass. Fully hallmarked solid silver for London 1852 on the inner case. Outer case is different hallmark and a bit earlier and is hallmarked for London 1818, so I think the outer case has been added later. Case width approx 62mm. Base to bow approx 80mm. Nice thick albert chain approx 13 inches in length and 7.5mm width. Very nice and heavy. Would make a super gift for a doctor or collector. This fine Victorian Waltham is in about mint condition with no dings, dents, scratches or repairs. The front cover pops open to exactly 90 degrees when the stem is depressed. The bow is excellent with none of the wear or looseness commonly found. The polished 14K gold cuvee is mint. The watch is stem wind and set. The wind is silky smooth and it keeps excellent time.
