Illinois 18S, 17J, Two Tone RR Grade Hunting Case Pocket Watch. This antique Illinois pocket watch is 18 size (case diameter 55 mm). The case is Keystone gold filled with some wear to the engraving but no brass except on the coin edge, and only one tiny little bruise. The case opens correctly although the lift spring doesn’t open the cover quite all the way. The original double sunk dial is excellent! No hairlines or chips, and note the matching hands. The lever set movement is two tone, 17 jewels, and marked adjusted. This movement was railroad grade when made in 1896. Movement is excellent although the gilt is somewhat faint, but not as faint as the image would suggest. This watch runs and keeps reasonable time, but I do not know the history of this watch, so it may need to be serviced. Sorry, this is NOT a “Make Offer” listing.
