Working, maybe ticking a tad slow and was tested over a 20 hour period and lost approx 3 minutes, will need a service to keep perfect time. Zenith – A Grand Prix Paris 1900 14ct Gold Cased Pocket Watch. It is open faced, with textured dial, raised gold arabic numerals, minute track, subsidiary seconds dial. It is a manual button wound movement. It is in perfect working order, the mechanical movement keeping excellent time and the top crown working perfectly. The crown is pulled out in order to change the time. The subsidiary seconds dial ticks away wonderfully and keeps extremely precise time. The case is a very nice engine turned design. Movement is stamped with the serial number’2916494. The mechanism looks to be very clean indeed. It is stamped inside the case’14k 585. The watch measures 48mm in diameter and it weighs 67.4 grams. It is housed inside a vintage leather case with lined blue velvet, which is probably the original case, made by L. Sandberg, 42 Mastersamuelsgatan 42, Stockholm. The condition is really rather excellent for such an old pocket watch. The dial is spotless, pretty much perfect. The gold numbers are excellent and there is no loss of colour on the minute track, or the word’Zenith. The gold hands are in excellent condition. The glass bezel is really rather excellent too, but if you inspect with a magnifying glass, a few tiny scratches can be seen here and there, but looking with the naked eye, it appears totally without a scratch. The gold case is very good too, there is a TINY ding to one side which is barely noticable, and there are some minor scratches here and there on the back. All the hinges are very tight and solid, and they seal perfectly. For a pocket watch of this age, it really is in very good condition, but please do judge the condition for yourself from the photos below.
