Converted to openface wristwatch from hunter case pocket watch. Diameter : 36.94 mm. Movement : Will tick for a bit but stops easily. Dial : Hairlines at 7 and 11. Case : Brassing on the bezel. Antique 1900 Waltham Pocket Watch 0s 15j Seaside GF Hunter Case Victorian design. This watch will run for a few seconds then stop. This watch will need to be serviced/cleaned to run properly. The watch crystal in good shape as well as the blued watch hands. The watch dial has several hairline cracks -see pics. The front case springs open as it should when depressing the winding stem and will latch properly when being closed. The winding stem adjusts the watch hands as it should when pulled out. The GoldFilled Hunter case is a Tiger grade made by the Elgin Giant Watch Case Co. The case has a nicely engraved Victorian design that features stars, flora and a swirl pattern on the front and back case covers. The Case has an inner dust cover. The case shows some minor signs of wear-see pics. There is a notable scratch near the top of the back case cover-see pics. The watch bow shows some signs of wear. RARE 1885 Waltham 7J Size 8s Seaside Pocket Watch – 10k Solid Gold Hunter Case. When fully wound and placed on a timegrapher in the dial up position for 1 minute, it shows the watch gaining approximately +18 seconds per day. Although it seems to keep good time, I have seen it stop prematurely on occasion, so I would suggest having it serviced. Some small cracks in the dial near 5:00. Some small dents in the case which are hard to see in the photos due to the engraving. Some case knife marks where the caseback is opened. 10k Solid Gold Hunter Case – (tested). 7 Jewel Gilt Model 1873 Seaside Grade Lever Set Movement. Watch diameter 41.9 mm. Roman numeral white enamel dial. Total weight including case, crystal, and movement is 61.92 grams.
