From a watch collector’s estate! An 18 size, railroad grade, open face pocket watch made by Hamilton Watch Company. The movement is signed, Hamilton Watch Co. MOTOR BARREL, 940, 21 JEWELS, DOUBLE ROLLER. SAFETY PINION, Adjusted 5 Positions, Lancaster, Pa. And has some beautiful. Damaskeening; along with screw down gold jewel settings. The watch is stem wind and lever. Set at the 11-12. Winding the crown I felt NO resistance from the mainspring; presumed BROKEN. I removed the movement and put light pressure to the fourth wheel and the escape started ticking. Do set properly with the lever pulled out. The collector died over 2 decades ago and collected from the 1960′s -1980′s. So I presume a good clean and oil are due! The white enamel dial has one bad chip at the’lever’ position and some small scratches; under magnification I can see a hairline from the. Bottom of the seconds register straight down to the bottom edge of the dial. The bold Arabic numerals are black with red 5 minute numerals. There is a subsidiary seconds register at the 6 o’clock position. The hands are blued steel and are in very good condition. There are light scratches throughout the beveled glass crystal. The case is stamped on the inside of the rear cover, “WADSWORTH, WARRANTED, 20 YEARS, 1300246″. There are scratches / dings to the case with a couple of small dents to the rear cover; there is BRASSING /. LOSS OF PLATING throughout the case. Double Chronograph Split Second Rattrapante Silver Case Pocket Watch For Repair ONLY + Box. Condition as in the pictures, used with age related issues. The watch is complete, with no damaged movement parts. The timing function is in good working condition. However, the chronograph function cannot be activated. The reason is that the crown pusher is replaced or blocked and the chronograph cannot be started. Therefore, for optimal performances repair / serviced is to be done. Here is a clean SOLID 14k Gold Size 0 American Waltham Hunter’s Case Seaside pocket watch that is 115 years old!!! Looks great for being this old. Has a very ornately decorated front & back lids. Really is a crisp sharp case. Because it is gold there are a few dings that really don’t show on the outside but you can see them on the inside of the lids. The hinges are good. This watch measures 34.0 mm across the case not including the ornate bow and crown. Weights 31.0 grams including the movement. This watch is stem wound and stem set and is running but I have no service records to offer. It has a Seaside 15 jewel movement per the serial # 10,450,101. Also known as a Model 1891. Serial # dates this Waltham watch to 1901. Again it is really hard to believe this watch is well over 100 years old. The SIGNED dial is clean. Has blued hands and a red 5 minute outer chapter ring. A group of 20 used antique / vintage open face and hunter pocket watch cases. For PARTS / REPAIR / SCRAP. From a watch repairman’s estate. The cases are presumed gold filled or gold plated; although a few have lost almost all the plate on the outside and. Appear as just brass. Ten of the cases have marks that I recognize as gold filled (such as’WARRANTED, 20 YEARS’). These 10 cases have a gross weight of 255 grams. The other cases have markings like an Indian head, dear head, etc. That I do not know what they stand for. The total gross weight of ALL the cases is 730 grams. Two of the hunter case are designed for key wind movements. I measured the inside diameter of what I thought was about the smallest to the largest case and got. 1.1″ to 1.76″; presumed approximately 3/0 to 18 size for American watches.
