16 size 19 jewel hunting case lever-set Washington Watch Co. “Army & Navy” pocket watch movement/dial/hands. A rare and attractive high grade Getty model movement, based on a close study of Washington Watch Co. Production I believe the total production of the 19 jewel 16 size hunting case Army & Navy was approximately 350 made. Watch is fronted by its correct double-sunk enamel Gothic numeral dial. Serial number is 1845044. Started running when fully wound but balance motion is very weak with low amplitude and some escapement noise and is weaker in some positions than others, and I think very likely this movement hasn’t seen a servicing in many years. Beautiful movement cosmetically with excellent color and luster. Dial is beautiful with just a very faint outer chapter hairline at 23 minutes and two minuscule nicks to the rim of the center hole.
