This lot contains a good clean running clean Hamilton 18 Size 23 Jewel Model 946 Important Railroad Pocket Watch. This watch is complete, winds, sets and ticks with brisk motion. This 946 was found in a genuine yellow gold-filled snap cover display case. This case shows the beauty of this watch movement and the outstanding damaskeening. The watch movement is complete and sparkles. The movement has heavy blued hands, good clean double sunk enamel dial and pristine 23 jewel model 946 movement. The real prize is the important Hamilton 18 size 946 running 23 jewel nickel highly damaskeened high grade railroad pocket watch. This is the flagship of the Hamilton 18 size pocket watches. This movement does wind, set and run with brisk motion. I tested this watch in three positions for one week and it ran on average about 3 seconds a day FAST. The watch has a good strong original bow, good stem, sleeve in large quality ball style sharp crown. The bezel snap on and off correctly. Both bezels have case slips. This is a genuine factory display and or salesman sample case. This watch has a good set of hands, good original factory double sunk railroad dial with a slight hairline and both case bezels have crystals. The movement is immaculate and ticks with brisk motion.
