Number 1291427 debossed on the dust cover and the bowl. Lever escapement and movement in gilded brass set with rubies, advance and retard racket and domed and beveled mineral glass. White enamel dial marked LIP and black painted Arabic numerals for the twelve o’clock and second hand at six o’clock and pear-shaped hands for the blued steel hours and the second hand. Copper winding crowns. Winder with pendant and time setting by pulling on the top of the winder. Gross weight: 87 gr. In perfect working order revised by a watchmaker. They look just gorgeous! Case maker mark “Fly” for Association Ouvriere / Locle. Case and movement have identical numbers, minimal restoration of the tula decoration over the hinge area. Otherwice in mint condition. Fine, perfectly preserved anchor chronometer movement , grained and gilded, with Guillaume chronometer balance, straight line lever escapement, Breguet overcoil with end curve, gold train, index fine adjustment. Signed, perfectly preserved enamel dial , blued spade steel hands. Dial and hands in perfect condition. The watch is in the original box with original chronometer certificate from 1907, submitted by Paul D. Nardin, Observatory Chronometer 1st class. There is also a handwritten accompanying letter. In this completely original state of preservation with original papers and original box, the watch is an absolute rarity – it is the only observatory chronometer with a niello decoration known to me!
