Illinois 16s Model 8 Dial. 16 size double-sunk enamel pocket watch dial for hunting case Model 8 or Model 12 movement. Rare railroad style dial correct for a hunting case Bunn Special, Bunn, A. Lincoln, or Sangamo Special of appropriate vintage. Feet positions are correct to Model 8 and Model 12 movements, and excellent dials such as this for these railroad grade hunting case models are extremely hard to come by. Absolutely beautiful dial but with a few very mild flaws along its outermost perimeter – a small faint hairline tight along the edge outside the 40 to 42 minute positions, a very small faint hairline tight along the edge outside the 35 minute position, and a minuscule edge flake outside the 19 minute position. We suggest you look up all the specifics on the Pocket Watch Database if I don’t havee it in the ad. They are pretty spot on with info but we cannot guarantee their info. T his watch seems to be running fine when wound, but with this watch I do not know when it was professionally serviced last for timing, accuracy or wear. We wind them to be sure they are running but no professional servicing or longevity testing. As all estate finds we suggest it be serviced and cleaned to keep this running for years ahead and to be sure all parts are still in specs. All watches have anti tamper sticker attached due to fraud. 1888 Waltham “Wm Ellery” Model 1873 11 jewel movement in solid 18K gold Hunting case. Starting with the case, beautiful engraving on the front and back. No dents or dings. The hallmark is stamped on the inside on the back of the case (see pictures above). All hinges and clasp work as they should. The watch is a stem wind and lever set. The lever will swing out to adjust the time. The single sunk enamel dial is near mint condition with no hairlines or chips, perfect glass crystal.
