The watch has an English verge fusee, chain driven movement. Engraved balance cock with grotesque face and steel regulator needle. Sterling silver pair case. Both cases original with hallmarks for London 1825. Both cases in reasonably good condition, button has been replaced, please see pictures for more details. Movement is signed Ja’s Brand, London, No. The movement is working well and runs the full length of the chain. The original white enamel dial is in good condition for its age. Bullseye glass has some surface scratches and chips to the edge. The watch measures approx 59mm across and weighs 149 grams. The movement has been removed from the case to photograph. Very nice antique solid Silver pair Case verge pocket watch. 1807 London By Surridge, Bridgewater. Verge fusee movement, in good working order. Nice detailed balance cock. Looks to have good clean workings and runs well. Signed By Surridge of Bridgewater. Keeps time within 5 mins over 24hours. Excellent for a watch of this age. Missing the latch to secure it to the case but does not affect the running of the watch. Innner Case, is solid Silver hallmarked London 1807. Has typical ageing as to be expected. Case button has worn away. Good clean condition, just typical aging no damage. Slight pitting & Denys to the back. Doors all close together well. Very nice early appearance. White enamel dial, in ok condition, but has a hairline though the center. Domed crystal in decent condition with some small scratches. Overall a very nice, early, pre owned verge pocket watch.
