This wonderful, and wonderfully working, antique Waltham American watch is in great condition; it is an 11 jewel movement (according to the research Ive done). The movement is size 18s; the watch in case measures 2 & 3/8 in diameter. The serial number on the movement is: 724024. The heavy chain is tested as sterling silver and measures 12.5 long. The watch is a key wind and key set. The key, which may be the antique original, is affixed to the chain by several non silver links. The watch is in quite good condition. Size 18 Coin Silver. Keywind Pocket Watch Case. Will Fit all American and Size 18 Standard Movements. 3 ounce Coin Silver. All hinges stand at 90 degrees. All hinges fit snugly. The lift spring is new and needs some minor adjustment to the catch blade to fully release the front cover. The catch blade stands a tiny bit to tall, Otherwise it opens fully and correctly. Any more Good cases like this have become very scarce and hard to find due to so many having been melted for the silver or gold content. Its a Keywind, Keyset model 1877 watch with 11 jewels. The Fahys Oresilver case is in good condition with some wear. Circle diameter at 2 1/8.
