Model 1 Grade 101. Appears clean, running sluggish, some light rust on the winding wheel caps. Single sunk glass with hairlines from 8 to 9. Dueber YGF box hinge hunters case showing slight wear. Hinges are good and open to 90 degrees. Bow is a little loose and the crown is good. A little brass at the neck and bottom of the box but no holes in the box. Nice open tulip style hands. Glass and in near mint condition. Hard to come by movement. I do not guarantee the timekeeping ability of any watch unless it is stated in the description. This is a very good looking Elgin Key Wind Pocket Watch, keeps Good time. In large, Gold Filled Hunters Case , Its a Key wind, Key set. This is a 7 jewel model. Comes with 2 keys. All lids close tight. Front lid pops open with a little help. The watch is running strong, keeping good time it was just cleaned and oiled. The case measures a whopping 55mm from side to side. The case looks good condition, Light scratches, dings , dents on it. Shines up nice, you can see in the pictures, the dial is very nice, has a few very light hairlines, you can see in the pictures. The thick glass looks good, light scratches showing its age. The #s on the 7 jewel movement are, 2545281 , which makes it made in 1888. If not happy, send watch back within 7 days in the same cond. In my nearly 30 years of watch collecting I have only seen a few pocket watches as nice as this one. This is a Waltham 6 Size Hunter’s Case pocket watch in a stellar multi-colored gold case. Measures 41.6 mm wide not including the bow and crown. This Waltham watch dates back to 1891 and the workmanship on this antique timepiece is hard to duplicate today. Image someone making a watch case as pretty as this one today!! It would cost a fortune. This watch has a diamond back cover and a solid front cover with green, yellow and pink gold on both sides. The dial and movement are by Waltham. The movement is a model 1890 11 jewel 6 size stem wound and stem setThis watch is trying to run and will need a clean and oil service to be a good runner again. The SIGNED dial is nice with only a little dirt on the white dial that should clean off eeasily. The crystal is good. It would be a sin. The watch weighs just over 38 pennyweight. It seems to run well but I wasn’t able to set the time. The movement has 17 jewels. In very good condition, nice and clean. The case opens and closes tightly. It needs a crystal. Here is a super clean Elgin 14k SOLID gold Hunter’s Case pocket watch. Check out how crisp the engraving design is on this pocket watch case!!! The 45.7 mm case does not look much different then when it was new in 1926. Most watch cases show some wear from being carried for all of those years. This one must of sat in a drawer most of its life. This Elgin Hunter’s Case watch has a clean SIGNED dial. I had my watchmaker replaced the crystal with a new old stock crystal. The watch has a SIGNED 17 jewel model 2, class 113, grade 344 stem wound and stem set movement and is running. Serial # 28,675,375 dates this Elgin to 1926. It has gold jewel settings and screwed chatons which you don’t usually see in gold cased watches. There is a Moseley regulator on this above average Elgin movement. The front case hinge is slightly over sprung and the back and dust cover hinges are great. This Elgin watch has a bird or swan theme case front and back. Super sharp detail on this case and shows almost no wear. The case and movement weigh 38 pennyweight or 59.3 grams as pictured. Moderl 1882 and is considered to be a size 1 pocket watch. This watch does run but will probably need to be serviced. I believed the movement is gummed up. The lids and the hinges on this antique Waltham watch are good. The crystal is good. Hard to believe this Waltham is as old as it is. Weighs 41.9 grams or 26.9 pennyweigh.
