Special Railway 23J HC. 18 size 23 jewel hunting case lever-set Special Railway pocket watch movement/dial/hands. Beautiful high grade movement with gold jewel settings, gold balance screws, and a spectacular 2-tone gold and nickel damaskeen finish along with gold flashed movement screws. Fronted by its correct double-sunk enamel dial with script signature. Serial number is 1447281. Running and a very nice looking movement with excellent 2-tone color. Balance jewel setting is a brass replacement. One case screw is missing fully half its head and should be replaced. Dial has some fractures to the left of its center hole, two hairlines below its seconds-register, and a few mild small edge flakes. Dueber Hampden 16S Model 105 21J Pocket Watch in Salesman Case. Excellent working and running railroad grade pocket watch by Dueber Hampden. 21 jewel open face lever set movement is clean and shiny and working great. Winds, sets, and runs very well (starts on partial wind, and keeping time for me well within 1 minute a day). This is a high grade watch, and its quality is apparent. Dial is in overall fine shape and legible with some chipping around edges (with “chronometer” marking on seconds dial). Hands are painted black and show minor signs of corrosion. In this listing we are happy to present this gorgeous Hampden 14K Solid Gold Hunter Case Pocket Watch with tri-color floral arrangement that comes in the highly rare framed motif. In terms of Solid Gold Pocket Watches with Tri-Color adornment the ones with framed scenes are very highly sought after for their excellent execution and refined artistry and often commands much higher prices than run-of-the-mill specimen. On this particular Hampden Watch Co. Example the flowers are bluish-silver in color which is rarely seen in tri-color casework. All of the flowers are masterfully etched and engraved. Case condition is excellent so all of the floral adornment in tri-color is still sharp and overall it is just a piece of fine art. Condition-wise the watch runs but we cannot guarantee timekeeping accuracy or longevity as we don’t know its service history. Antique pocket watches like this specimen will likely need full service to run normally, it is the sole decision and responsibility of end-user to service or not. Cosmetically as already mentioned the case is in wonderful shape with no dings or dents and the tri-color parts are all sharp and 3-dimensional to the touch.
