This item bought out an estate of a pocket watch and train collector. This American Waltham Crescent Street 21 Jewel Railroad grade open face case pocket watch was in his collection. This 18 size watch and is in a Fahys Coin Silver No. Measures 58.1 mm wide not including the bow and crown. This large Waltham watch dates back to 1900 per the SIGNED movement’s serial # 7,536,895. The great looking 21 Jewel Adjusted Railroad grade movement is a Model 1892, class Crescent St. It is stem wound and lever set. This 21 jewel adjusted movement is running. Has gold jewel settings and screwed chatons. Has a Breguet hairspring. Stem wound and lever set and is running. Great looking nicely damaskeened movement. Serious quality American made movement. Gold jewel settings and screwed chatons. Just a super clean and great looking Waltham RR Grade pocket watch from 119 years ago. Running but It is s old as you see it pictured here. Offered is a nice Illinois RR style pocket watch. The enamel double sunk dial is in great condition, as are the plum hands. The Fahys RR style short pendant case shows well, with a new plastic crystal, firm bow, and covers that screw on and off smoothly. There is honest wear with small rings of brass showing at the lid edges and case body. The movement runs with good motion and is in excellent condition, the red enamel inlay on the balance cock is a nice touch. Here is an excellent example of an Illinois Bunn Special Railroad watch from 1916. This is one a 23 Jewel high end model 9. One of the Americana timepieces that kept the railroads on time. It is a 16 size Illinois Bunn Special and has 6 position + temperature correction. This watch has one of the highest grade railroad watches made back in the early 1900′s. This Illinois Bunn Special is 23 jewel and has 6 position adjustments and temperature corrected. This watch does run but will probably need a clean & oil service. The Fahys Montauk 10k gold filled case is clean. It measures 49.0 mm wide. The case is very nice especially for being 102 years old. Really no brassing on this Fahys case. The SIGNED movement is a beauty. Wonderful damaskeening and has gold jewel setting and screwed chatons. Has a fancy Reed regulator and of course is lever set. The serial # 2,980,189 dates this Illinois Bunn Special to 1916. The SIGNED dial is a has LARGE BOLD Arabic hour markers. Simple matching blued hands and a clean crystal. The screw off case back has some minor thread issues and can be difficult to open. I have no service records for this 100+ year old Illinois Bunn Bunn Special 23 Jewel 6 Adj. Hamilton railroad grade 990 model 1 pocket watch. Lancaster PA 16s, 21 Ruby jewel and Sapphire pallet jewel nickel movement is adjusted to 5 positions. Serial number 383453 dates this pocket watch to 1907. Watch case is high quality grade hallmarked FAHY’S WARRANTED TO WEAR PERMANENTLY. Watch Case shows signs of extreme wear there are some deep scratches and marks on the edges. Design on back cover is badly worn. There are several spider web looking hairline cracks in the double sunk dial near the 1 and 2, 8 and 9. I have replaced the seconds hand in the sub dial please refer to pictures. This railroad grade pocket watch winds, sets and runs with no issues balance wheel has brisk motion. It is keeping accurate time. The 21 jewel nickel finished movement has been well maintained. It has beautiful etched design on the plates it is like looking at a piece of art. This pocket watch was carried and used as a working mans tool to keep track of time. A person of this time period who owned this grade pocket watch was serious about purchasing an accurate, durable quality time piece. This Hamilton is far from perfect it has some normal patina for an antique pocket watch that is 110 years old. Antique Rockford 18 Size, Keywind Pocket Watch. This antique Rockford watch is 18 size (case diameter 56 mm). The case is a nice nickel silver with a thick, beveled edge glass crystal. This is a fairly scarce Fahys pair case. The movement ring and case back form a second “case” that can be removed from the outer case. The case is in nice condition and is a very good example of this type of case. The dial is original porcelain is excellent. The movement is 9 jewels and appears to be the original movement for this case. This watch runs and keeps reasonable time, but I do not know the history of this watch, so it may need to be serviced.
