Ornate engine-turned floral engraving. On both sides with a center cartouche shield, perfect for personalization or admired as-is. The spring-hinged front cover opens to reveal a white enamel dial with Roman numerals and a sub-second register at 6 o’clock. Only the minute hand remains; the hour and sub-second hands are missing. Inside the case is a delicate Spanish inscription reading “Un Recuerdo. ” (“A Memento. “), giving this timepiece a unique personal history and character. Although the movement no longer runs, the watch remains a beautiful collector’s piece, ideal for restoration, display, or as a historical artifact of Victorian-era American watchmaking.
