Early Fusee Pocket Watch. The outer case is dated 1819. Scene from a country castle to an erotic scene. I have wound the watch and it worked and kept time overnight in the shop. Silver pair case fusee detent chronometer. Parkinson and frodsham change alley. London hallmarked 1818 dial at fault. Runs for a while but stops foot detent. Looks ok bridge cock tipycal brockbanks type. Very unusual compensation curb this type. Was used on polar expeditions at that time. Although i can not find any records chain is. On cases not bad condition screw in the case. Lower part of bezel to hold movement or lock it in. Not there minor problem will need some work to repair. But well worth it for a rare watch. A very interesting and most important. EXCEPTIONALLY LARGE silver case watch. WITH DAY MONTH, verge, fusee movement. All the hinges work well on the case. The dial in very good condition. With day date and sub second dial. Very fine gold that look original. The glass is very high clean and clear. The fire gilt movement look just like the day it left the work shop. The watch runs well. With a very very fine decorated and engraved balance cock, a silver Tompion regulator. This watch was made C 1780. The watch will come with a key. Just great to have such an amazing and interesting watch that is as good as this one, and it just has every thing one could want on a fine verge watch, very hard to find a watch in this condition with all that it has going for it. This watch is so very well priced, and well presented. An absolute must for any serious collector or would make a wonderful present. A very interesting and most important silver case watch. With a champleve dial, repousse working on the outer case, with day date SQUARE PILLARS, verge, fusee movement. MADE BY JAMES WHIYE. With a nice watchmakers paper to round it off. Note outer cases were never hallmarked. The inner silver case with the watch size is 42 m. This case is hallmarked London C 1769. That is hard to read. All the hinges work well on the cases. The Champleve dial in very nice condition, with all the gold pip in place, with the makers name WHITE. With date aperture that is working. The dial is very interesting set with a repousse cherub set on a blue back ground. The glass is very high bull nose clean and clear. The fire gilt movement look just like the day it left the work shop. The watch runs well C + or – 2-3 minutes per hour. With a very very fine decorated and engraved balance cock, a silver Tompion regulator SQUARE PILLARS. Signed on the back plate Ja White LONDON. The watch will come with a key.
