A verge fusee silver paircased pocket watch. Running and in good order. Fire gilded movement with cut pillars… Fat full length chain running all way from top to bottom… Ticking nicely and keeping reasonable time. Signed THO CARTER LONDON 186 or 180. Clear and clean with good definition on numerals and signature. Signed Carter London on cartouches in the center. Both stamped 181 CW. Outer case with 7 piece hinge… Both in good order and closing nicely. Minor dings on both cases. Thomas Carter London listed in Brittens C. C 1699 there is also a listing in the national archives (kew) for a will of Thomas Carter watchmaker of st micheal city of London, dated 22 june 1705. 55 mm diameter about 25 mm thick. This is a very nice Hamilton 992b runs well but has not been tested for accuracy, the case is a gold filled Fahys RR model and marked as such. Hands are nice and blue, crystal is clear. There are 2 hairlines running from 10 and 2 to the center. Winds sets and runs fine, displays well. Serial number C439580 dates it at 1956, model 5. Any questions I will answer in the evenings. This is a very nice antique watch from a local estate. It measures 48mm in diameter (outer Case). The watch is in a plain silver pair case. The movement has square pillars, verge fusee, pierced balance cock, signed Cha Bifield 4787 LONDON. The movement is in very good condition, and runs. The white porcelain dial is original. It does have an edge chip at the bottom. The outer pair case has no marks whatsoever. The inner case has 2 marks visible that are rubbed and hard to read. I can see the lion silver standard, and the other mark looks like the crowned leopard head. There is also a case makers mark that looks like an HT to me. The outer case has some side dents from normal age and use. It has a good strong case lock spring. The watch has a plastic replacement crystal. A key is included. Hello and welcome to another of my listings! Today for your consideration is this amazing circa 1865 E. Howard Watch Company decagon Hunter case pocket watch! It comes with a key and is currently running, it is running fast and will need to be adjusted. It is about 18 size, it does show wear from use. I bought this for myself but find myself not wearing it as much as I should so I figured I’ll thin out the collection and let someone else enjoy it! It has a very cool decagon Hunter case made of coin silver, I’m not sure if its original but it looks incredible! Movement has a dust cover over it that is transparent with a keyhole cut into it.
