This is a late 1800s Swiss Key wind Center hand chronograph in a. The movement has probably 15 and possibly 17 jewels. It’s difficult to get a juul count without taking it apart. I will include two keys not pictured. Look closely at the pictures there are some chips around the center hole in the porcelain dial and some fine hair lines near the 2 and 3 position. High Grade Minerva Chronograph Pocket Watch For Repair in Silver Case. Please see photographs for condition and size. No manufacturers markings visible but have been told it is a Minverva calibre and it is identical to those revealed on a Google search. The issues are as follows. Stem is loose and I cannot get it to wind. Part of the movement protrudes where it should not under the dial, this has caused damage to the dial which can be seen in pictures. Wear and tear marks to the case. The balance is good and moves freely, but does get stuck when swinging some times. Pallet does not move the escape wheel presently. Geneva – matched numbers 25075 with date of the case product inscribed 1895. Beautiful piece with a Roman dial, spade hands, register indicator and seconds. Watch has a high-grade Swiss movement. Movement is unmarked but is highly jeweled – even the pallet stones are rubies – with a gold train and nickel plated bridges. Complication is a split-second chronograph with register. CONDITION: Dial is exceptional/mint – clean, no cracks or chips. In good running condition but service history is unknown. Movement and case are clean. Solid gold case in excellent condition, tight hinges, one 3mm side ding hard to see. The watch sets and keeps time very well – stayed spot on my digital clock for 12 hour period before rewind. The chronograph works on both the main and the split – reset works to zero. For regular use a service check from a qualified professional is recommended.
