HUGUENIN – Haut Médailleur depuis 1868. The factory of A. Huguenin Fils was founded in 1857 and was one of the pioneers among watchmakers in the mountains of Neuchatel. Henry Huguenin was appointed Directory of the company and Huguenin manufactured watches under the Hamilton name as well as continuing to make top-quality watches under the Huguenin name. The Huguenin family originates from Le Locle, but very soon they moved out of Le Locle and were to be found in La Chaux de Fonds, La Chaux-du-Milieu, Les Brenets, Les Ponts-de-Martel, La Brévine, La Sagne in the Neuchatel district. Those families were known for being watchmakers, case makers and engravers. Condition as in the pictures, used with age related issues. Used, but very clean. The script on back of dust cover says “ANCRE” and then in cursive the following as pictures note: Balancier Compense – Spiral Breguet – 15 Rubis – Lansel Furich. Inside back cover is a K18 hallmark and the chain tests as 18 karat as well. Total weight of entire watch AND chain including movement is 98.7 grams or 63.45 DWT. Beautiful antique c1894 Elgin pocket watch in a fine Brooklyn Watch Case Co. Solid 14K hunter case with all over hand engraving. The watch was worn on a 14K gold rope chain by previous owner. The case reads WARRANTEED – 14K – U. The watch case is not monogramed with prior owners initials. The works serial number is “5721095″. 1 5/8″ in diameter and the face just under 1 3/8″ in diameter, the chain is 30 long. The watch and chain weigh 67.5 grams. The case is in very, very good condition with only minor wear from use and polishing, the watch ticks but will stop after a few seconds, it is not overwound but need to be looked at to run. Please look at all the photos to get a good idea of the true condition, the photos are part of the description. The items I list are primarily antique or vintage, and may have some minor flaws. Introducing Antique Verge Fusee London. Sterling Silver Pair Case Pocket watch w/ Chain & Fob. The movement is marked : D D Neveren , London , balance is ok (watch video). The watch been serviced and was working , but when I wind it and the chain released from the barrel , on the last picture is shown the hook is there on the chain just need to be placed. I can’t ask my watchmaker to do it again as He spend a lot of time in this watch already. Enameled Dial is free of hairlines. The silver chain is beautiful with four strings but twisted , also there is a few dings on the outer case. Few links are marked with lion passant for sterling silver.
