Pocket Watch Case

Hello and welcome to another of my listings!! Today for your consideration is this Classic Form Rockford Transitional 18s Coin Silver Hunter Case Pocket Watch, circa 1882! This watch is currently ticking upon winding sitting on my desk. It appears to be missing the setting lever, when I removed the bezel I did not see it, though there is a cut for it. I do not know if it is broken or just missing. I strongly recommend a servicing as I do not know it’s service history. It dates to 1882 according to pocket Watch database and it is 9 Jewels and it is an 18s, Transitional Model. It does not come with a key. Dial has a number of hairlines on it. The case is a well worn coin silver Hunter case, opens when button is pressed to way past 90°. It has small dings and a lot of wear as this was someone’s daily wearer. Please see my photos as they can describe this watch better than I can!! Again it will have wear as it was worn as someone’s daily timepiece 100+ years ago. 1905 Rockford 15j Pocket Watch W/ Gold Filled Hunter Case Pocket Watch. This watch needs a dial. And the face is loose. Although, when I twisted the mechanism there is movement and ticking. It may run fine with new dial. I haven’t had time to check the hour hand. Some signs of wear. Scratched and small dents may be present. Please ask any questions. This is a very nice antique pocket watch. The watchworks and dial are marked Rockford and the case is a hunter case and is marked B & B Royal Warranted 20 yrs. The works are marked 17j and 515255 and are 18ss. The watch itself is missing the crystal and the dial shows some cracks and a missing section. I’m not sure if this runs. The case is in great shape. It shows no wear to the gold covering except for mild wear right around the hinges and the edges. If you have questions, I’ll try to answer them. Rockford 16 size hunting cased pocket watch made in 1901. 20 year gold filled case with no worn through spots, not even on the stem. I looked up the mark and found it is from Parker Brothers and Rogers of Providence Rhode Island. The case has a beautiful design with a fishscale pattern on front and back. The sides have alternating coin edge design with some smooth sections and some patterned sections. The edges of the lids are concave, which is very unusual. The lid pops open with good spring action and goes to a little bit over 90 degrees. There are some minor dings and one crease style dent in the front cover. It was just serviced and keeps time to within a minute a day.
