Welcome to William Sharpe Antiques. Here today for your consideration we have this antique pocket watch, made by A. A (possibly English for the Australian market), having 15 jewel swiss movement. The watch is of open face design with sterling silver case by Arthur George Rendell of London and stem-wind movement with chain ring. The watch is not currently working, however the movement appears complete (refer photos, be your own judge). The case is in reasonably good order, with the dial having a few scratches. The watch is without monogram or crest, with the second hand missing. A great watch for parts or restoration. The watch has an overall diameter of 52mm and weighs in at 93gms unpacked. HAMPDEN SERVICED Pocket Watch in double hunter DUEBER Gold Filled Case 12S. Here is a great looking and running watch. The 7 jewel stem wind and lever set movement has just been serviced. It was disassembled, cleaned, inspected, lubed, reassembled and hand timed/tested for 5 weeks. It is holding a couple minutes a week. The white dial is showing a few light hairlines. The hands are straight and nicely blued. It is housed in a gorgeous 20 year Dueber gold filled case. I believe that these two have been together since built. The front cover opens to a crisp 90° with a gentle push of the crown. Showing the new old stock mineral glass crystal. Both rear covers open and close properly. All 3 have a great shine on the inside. The bow stands up firmly. The crown is also in great condition. This watch is super clean with very few signs of usage. 48 mm od by 12 mm thick. Zenith pocket watch for repair reads spiral Breguet on the dust cover and 15 rubies, double plateau, levees visible, 1896 Geneve. The hairspring looks good but the staff is bad held level when I put pressure on the crown it would run. Original zenith dial shows crack hair lines and chip. 945 silver finer than Sterling case shows dents on the rear cover and some patina spots that did not want to easily polish off. This is a pin set watch and the bow is also worn through to brass. A rare example and a welcome addition to any collection for restoration, parts, or collection. It has no crystal or hands.
