This watch has the very famous Caliber 982 movement, used also for the “marvellous” and rare Portoguese “German Edition” made in 1977, one of the best and rarest watches made by IWC. Mint condition overall, NEVER POLISHED, very well working. The diameter of the case is 49mm and total weight is 101 grams very heavy… !!!! Probably around 50 grams of solid gold!!! Guaranteed to be 100% an original International Watch Co. 1971 pocket watch with a 18k solid gold hynter case. Trattasi di un bellissimo orologio della International Watch Co. Up for sale, is a beautiful, large, and rare silver pair case verge fusee antique pocket watch, with an amazing set enamel plaque repousse outer case, and a lovely chamlpleve dial, with a date indicator, circa 1740. The watch has just been cleaned and serviced and the movement is in perfect working condition. It runs to the end of the fusee chain in all positions very smoothly and keeps very good time. The beautiful fire gilt movement is signed. Three arm steel balance. Beautiful engraved top plate and balance cock. Main spring barrel with worm – classic feature for early verge movements. The movement is in wonderful condition. Is very well listed in all the reference books. For a good example you can look at: Brian Loomes, Watchmakers and Clockmakers of the World, Complete 21st Century Edition, p. Silver original inner case in very good condition.
