This is an antique open face Longines hunter pocket watch in running condition. Circa 1921 based on the serial number. The case measures approx. 47.9mm in diameter. The silver colored dial is in good shape with. The nice gold plated hunting case is in very good shape. The hunting case movement is stamped. 18.68Z LONGINES 5121xxx. Runs and keeps time. A very interesting and most important regulator dial with moon phase, date time, seconds dial, sweep minute hand. And and a stop for the sweep second hand so it would also be a Doctors watch. The inner case with the watch size is 51 m. All the hinges and clips work well on the cases. The enamel dial in very good condition. THE DIAL IS A VERY RARE REGULATOR WITH HOUR, DATE , MOONPHASE, SECONDS DIAL AND SWEEP SECONDS HAND THAT CAN BE STOPPED BY MOVING THE SLIDER AT THE SIDE BY THE NUMBER 45 SO THAT WOULD ALSO MAKE THIS A DOCTORS WATCH. Very fine black hands that are all original. To set the time you turn the sweep hand. The you move the date and moonphase gently moving with your finger. The glass is very high bull nose clean and clear. The fire gilt movement look just like the day it left the work shop. The watch runs well. Time keeping C + or 1 – 2- minuets per hour. With a very very fine decorated and engraved balance cock, a silver Tompion regulator. Signed on the back plate JOHNSON LONDON. The watch will come with a key. Just great to have such an amazing and interesting watch that is as good as this one, and it just has every thing one could want on a fine verge watch, very hard to find a watch in this condition with all that it has going for it. This watch is so very well priced, and well presented. An absolute must for any serious collector or would make a wonderful present.
