Small antique silver pair cased verge pocket watch. The gilt fusee movement with verge escapement, signed and numbered 2707, with round pillars. Enamel dial with Roman numerals and gilt hands, enclosed under a bulls eye, domed glass. The dial has some damage as can be seen. Both cases with the London hallmark for 1780. Case makers mark WB. The outer case 50mm diameter, 24mm thick. The movement is in going order. The dial has a faint hairline cracks and a repair to the edge between 10-12 o’clock, please see picture 3. The mineral crystal is free from chips and scratches. Hinges and catches are all working correctly. The outer sterling silver case measures 56mm x 24mm. The inner sterling silver case measures 48mm x 23mm. At RomanDial all our watches are fully serviced. The service includes complete strip down of the movements to its component parts. All parts are cleaned checked for wear, oiled and reassembled. We then test the movement for at least seven days to check for accuracy and reliability. While the movement is out of the case we clean and polish, check all hinges catches and clips are operating correctly. We replace the mineral glass with new (old stock) mineral glass. All our watches come with winding key if required. We aim for an accuracy of 1-2 minutes for lever watches and 2-5 minutes or verge watches.
