English Verge Fusee Half Hunter Silver Pair Cased Pocket Watch J. This listing is for a Georgian sterling silver half hunter pair cased verge fusee pocket watch by J. Dumbell, Wolverhampton circa 1846. The watch has a sterling silver pair case. Matching hallmarks for Birmingham, 1846. Both cases with signs of wear. Some marks and light dents commensurate with age… The watch has an English verge fusee, chain driven movement. Engraved balance cock with grotesque face and regulator needle. The movement is signed. The movement is working well and running strongly in all positions for the full length of the chain. The original white enamel dial is in good condition, a light hairline but no major damage. The watch measures approx 58mm across and weighs 158 grams. The movement has been removed from the case to photograph. All my watches are tested on a flat surface. I would always recommend a service if they are going to be worn and used as accurate time pieces. Please visit my shop to view my. And contact me with any questions.
