Beautiful 1780′s English verge fusee Gold filled inner pair case pocket watch by D. Amazing inner pair case that was yellow Gold plated at one time, but the material now has worn away and appears to be a type of rose Gold fill or possibly a solid Gold. It does not look like brass. I have not had it tested so at this time I will sell as if an unk material. Case polished up easily to a nice clean shine. The beautiful bow and stem are truly unique. Beautiful white colored porcelain dial with nice Roman numerals. The dial does have a few old chips and repairs, but has real nice eye appeal. The Gold hands are a perfect complement to the dial and case. Sharp clean high domed bullseye Crystal is real nice with just a few tiny scratches and edge chips. The case cover opens and closes nice and tight with good movement hidges. Key wind and key set pocket watch runs beautifully with nice Balance motion. The balance bridge is beautiful with ornate scroll work, as does the right side of the movement. The movement is super clean with sharp blue screws and is regulated by a right side blue disked regulator. The watch measures approx. 42mm excluding the bow. Pocket watch runs outstanding and keeps great fusee time, last checked about +/- 1 or 2 minutes within approx. 24 hour period hanging from a hook in the vertical position…….. But cannot guarantee accuracy upon sale. These watches are verge type. Meant to keep time, not perfect time 235 years ago. Also special care must be taken not to overwind these old museum pieces. Watch comes with a set of keys for winding and setting. Note all of my pocket watches have been personally serviced and restored to there best working order according to there age and condition. Pocket watch is listed in the watch and clock makers of the world as Edmonds, D. The case does not have hallmarks so the serial number being low and the square pillars on the movement, approximately place the watch in the 1780′s. This is a stunning and unusual watch in my opinion. It is a 16 Size Hunter’s Case Gold Leaf Dial American Waltham that dates back to 1895. The 15 year gold filled case measures 52.4 mm wide not including the bow and crown. Still has it’s paper guaranty from the J. Boss Watch Case Co. In the inside of the back lid!!! How cool is that!!! The case show some light wear but keep in mind this Waltham watch is 111 year old. Not much wear for being 111 years young. The dial on this Waltham is very ornate. Blue and gold leaf design. Very unusual for a size 16 watch. The crystal is good. The watch has a SIGNED Model 1888 Grade No. 20, 7 jewel movement. It is lever set and stem wound. The movement’s serial # 6,424,581 dates this watch to 1895. It is running but I have no service records for this 111 year old Waltham. The front lid has an issue. The hinge or the lid clasp is not grabbing the front lid securely. It will need an adjustment. It closes but sometime will pop open on it’s own. I sell all my watches as-is and as found. RIVERSIDE MAXIMUS 23J ANTIQUE POCKET WATCH IN A 10KT WHITE GOLD FILLED CASE This watch does not run. It has a 1 5/8″ movement in a sleek 2″ case. Crystal has yellowed a bit, but has very little wear. The dial is white porcelain with large, black and red Arabic numbers. There is a hairline crack that runs about 1/4 vertically between the 11 and 12 and there is a tiny chip by the 10. All hands are very rusty. It will not wind. Case is in excellent condition. Super clean stem wind and lever set 17 jewel movement with gold jewel settings. Arabesque over concentric pattern NI damascene. Serial number dates the watch to 1900 and has a one in front for some reason, but would not be correct for this grade movement. Gross weight of assembled watch 95.6 dwt (148.6 g). Beautiful 17 Jewel 16 size Hamilton model 975 Gold filled Hunter case pocket watch. Outstanding condition White porcelain dial with bold black numbers and Blue colored hands. The only flaw is a small repair near the 20 second mark, undistracting and otherwise just a beautiful dial. Front cover springs open perfect. All case covers open, close and snap shut perfectly together. Nice clean bow and crown. The crystal is super spotless. The movement is gleaming and super clean. The Hamilton 17 jewel movement serial number 347285 dates to 1905. The 16 size 3/4 plate 975 model lever set movement is adjusted to positions and has unbelievable demaskeening and Polished jeweled settings. The winding wheels are gleaming with only a few tiny spots. Pocket watch sets and runs outstanding with all pivots lightly oiled and the balance with beautiful motion and has been keeping outstanding time. Note all of my pocket watches have been personally serviced and restored to there best working order according to there age and condition. The 111 year old 975 Hunter model is a quality Hamilton movement and are becoming harder to come by then the open face 974 model. The beautiful condition Keystone 20 year J. Boss G/F case has beautiful detail with Beautiful machining design and intricate floral surrounding detail on both front and rear cover and a beautifully ornate shield on the front. The case has has just normal carrying use with some smooth areas along the sides but no apparent brassing to be found and has a real solid feel. The side of the watch also has a real sharp looking coined edge. The pocket watch is all set and ready to be carried and showed off with pride. Just an added note, I use a small screwdriver or needle to retrieve the lever when setting the watch. It’s too difficult with the fingernail.
