Pocket Watch Case

Offered here is a magnificent gift opportunity! This 18 K yellow gold E. BOURQUIN & FILS Swiss case pendant or pocket watch belonged to a 19th-century Mississippi RIver riverboat captain. The family story is that it was presented to him upon his retirement in the last decade of the 19th century. Captain Kintner died in 1919, and Kintner, Indiana, is named for his progenitor. It measures 1.5 inches in diameter and is still housed in its ORIGINAL BOX with its ORIGINAL KEY and its original parts, which is a great rarity. The case is styled in a floral and shield crest design. The movement is a 3 jewel, key wind, white enamel dial with black roman numerals. The words Bourguin & Fils Locle with number 35217 are engraved on the movement cover. The watch weighs 42 grams with movement and crystal. It has the original enamel dial, painted roman numerals, auxiliary second, and blued steel breguet hands. CONDITION: As reported above, it has resided for decades in a family safety deposit lock box and comes in its own original presentation box with its own original key. The case is decorated with engraved four-leaf clover motifs on the front, accented with Diamonds, and monogrammed “M” on the back. Inside, there is a hinged dust cover, featuring case serial nr. The words “DIPLOME D’HONNEUR” which translates to “Honorary Degree” are inscribed at the base. Beige color dial features black easy to read Arabic numerals and guilloche-patterned centerpiece with two hands, inscribed Ls. I have up for sale a lovely antique circa 1900 give or take Illinois Watch Co TIGER Rolled Gold Plate Ladies Pendant Watch. Its just a gorgeous case and nicer yet comes with the original paper label for the “Tiger” case. The case measures approx a 36mm diameter and would definitely be considered a Ladies size watch but I will leave the for the individual to decide. Its a ornate case as you can see. The movement is LEVER SET Swiss made by the VALLON Watch Co. The movement ran for a half day, then I checked it later that evening and it stopped. The dial face is Excellent but the watch needs replacement hands as its missing the sub second hand and the minute/hour hands are damaged. The case is in Very Nice Original Condition – some modest wear on the back case but nothing significant. ONLY THROW OUT THE BOXES AND PACKAGING AFTER YOU HAVE INSPECTED THE ITEM OR ITEMS AND FIND NO DAMAGE other than what may be noted in the condition report or shown in the pics. SAVE THE BOX AND ALL PACKAGING, PICS OF THE OUTER BOX AND INNER BOX, AND OF THE DAMAGED ITEM WOULD BE REQUIRED. THIS IS PART OF YOUR RESPONSIBILITY WHEN IT COMES TO DAMAGE. Two never used vintage 16 size pocket watch screw back and bezel cases. S hiny base metal cases with fancy engraved backs. These cases have been sitting idol in a safe for over 60 years. These cases would be great for most standard American made 16 size pendant or lever set watches. Either left or right lever style will work in these cases. B ezel and back screw on and off nicely.
