An exceptionally clean, Lesser see, Railroad grade Elgin… The 19 jewel grade 371 was produced only for a short time… The mainspring barrel has a very large jewel in gold setting to make it 19 jewels.. The rest of the screw down jewel settings are also gold… Main wheel is gold too.. The movement plates are very nice, no spots and no visible service marks… Highly polished screw heads that are factory original.. Compensated Balance runs very true and has good motion.. Plates are marked B. Raymond and Adjusted to 5 positions… Watch is stem wind and lever-set, with the Odd lever, for a hunting case, at the 2 O clock. Only one ever made that way…. The white enamel dial is perfect. Bold Arabic numerals and a correct factory hand set.. The 25 year gold filled case is excellent… Hardly any wear showing… Front cover opens smartly to 90 degrees. Hinges are firm on all 2 covers.. Nice French style bow…. The front bezel is fitted with a glass crystal… Winding and setting functions are as they should be, smooth… Watch keeps great time.. A beautiful heavy Sterling Silver pair case verge fusee Pocket watch. Made by the watchmaker Franchis Marshall of Wath. The movement with winds smoothly and runs with a great motion. The enameled dial is in a nice condition, has only a very. Faint hairline on the edge between 4 and 5 hour position. The crystal bulls-eye glass is near mint, nos. The thick sterling watch cases are near mint, identical hallmarked for. Birmingham, year letter W, what stands for the year 1843. No dings or dents, near mint. Across 55mm, including bow 75mm.
