Vintage American Waltham Watch Co. 16s hunter pocket watch with a good quality Model 1888 Riverside 17 jewel movement. The movement has an estimated production date of 1896 -1899. It has a beautiful gold filled coin edge hunter case marked Fahys 14K Monarch on the inside surface of the dust cover. This watch looks great overall with a few minor signs of age age prior use including a very light patina in a section of the outer track on the dial and a very small fine scratch on the dial between the 11 and 12 positions. There is a small notch (see photo) on the edge of the inside dust cover that looks like someone probably performed a gold test at some point. There is also a light impression on the top edge of the back cover from the bow. The movement has been running and keeping time for over 24 hours but is approximately 2 minutes slow and will need to be serviced for accuracy.
Watch is in working condition. Please view pictures provided for additional detail and to determine the condition of this item. Please feel free to ask any questions and I will answer them asap.

Antique American Waltham 1902 GF Hunting Case Pocket Watch ETC10274. Here is an American Waltham gold filled 6 size pocket watch serial #11517518. The movement is a Lady Waltham model 1890 that was made in 1902. It is a three-quarter plate 16 jewel stem set nickel movement in a gold-filled hunting case. The watch is about 50 millimeters or 1 7 /8 inches across the front of the case so its big. Condition wise, the watch case has Victorian scrollwork on both sides and is in excellent condition showing little wear or use so it’s really nice. I see a tiny hairline between 7 and 8 o’clock on the watch dial which does not affect the appearance or performance of the watch. The watch is in good restorable condition and can be used just as it is. The mechanical (winding type) (122) year old watch is fully wound and tries to run but stops, so it does not run. It does, however, continue to run when I put winding pressure on the winding stem indicating that it is fixable. Note: carrying or wearing these types of mechanical watches helps keeps them running on time. I looked up the serial number on the internet and it said it was from 1897. I wound the watch a little and nothing happened. I don’t want to overwind it so I didn’t wind it more.
