OUTER CASE IS COVERED IN GOURGEOUS RED AND BLACK COVERING WITH DECORATIVE PIN WORK, IN GOOD CONDITION WITH GOOD HINGES, THERE ARE A COUPLE OF AGE CRACKS ON THE SIDE OF THE BACK (SEE PHOTO) BUT IN SUPERB CONDITION FOR ITS AGE. SECOND CASE IS SOLID SILVER IN VERY GOOD ORDER GOOD HINGE, LOVELY RIM AROUND THE MIDDLE. THIRD OR INNER CASE IS SOLID SILVER AND IN GOOD ORDER WITH AGE RELATED SCUFFING GOOD TIGHT FIT WITH GOOD HINGE, BOTH SILVER CASES ARE STAMPED “AR”. THE DIAL IS STUNNING IT DEPICTS A BIBLICAL SCENE AND IS IN NEAR MINT CONDITION WITH A NICK OUT OF THE VERY EDGE BY 7 BUT NOT NOTICEABLE UNLESS LOOKED FOR. HANDS ARE ORIGINAL GOLD COLOR HEAVILY PIERCED. MOVEMENT IS VERGE FUSEE, AND MADE BY THE VERY GOOD MAKER J GRAY OF LONDON. NO 395, LOVELY PIERCED COCK WITH FLOWERS AND SWIRLS AND MASK, SQUARE PILLAR , AND RUNS WELL DOWN THE WHOLE LENGTH OF THE CHAIN AND KEEPS QUITE GOOD TIME. Balance is ok, chain is here but not working, looks gummy and needs cleaning and oiling. Inner case winding hole is off the center (picture #5) and I think that movement is not original to cases but it is only my opinion. Hinges has to be adjusted to work properly. 1890 METAL CASED GOLIATH TRIPLE CALENDAR MOONPHASE 15J SWISS LEVER POCKET WATCH. Antique Circa 1890 metal cased Goliath Triple Calendar Moonphase pocket watch in full working order. The dial is white /cream enamel with black Roman numerals and gold coloured fancy hands with 4 sub-dials.
