16 size 21 jewel hunting case lever-set A. Beautiful example of this scarce hunting case railroad grade watch. Movement is nicely finished with gold jewel settings, gold balance screws, gold center wheel, and striped pattern nickel damaskeen. Watch is fronted by its correct double-sunk enamel dial and is housed in a beautifully engraved 25 year gold-filled Wadsworth Pilot case that appears likely its original and has a detailed house scene on both front and rear. Small shield at lower front of case is engraved with initials. Movement serial number is 2430133 which dates this watch to about 1912. Running and a very nice looking movement with excellent color and luster. Train bridge has some fine abrasion between the 3rd wheel and 4th wheel jewel settings. Dial is very near perfect with only a few mild fine glaze scratches. Case is beautiful with crisp engraving detail but does have a ding or small dent just below center of the front lid. 18 size 21 jewel hunting case lever-set Bunn Special pocketwatch. Very nicely finished railroad grade movement with gold jewel settings, gold balance screws, and 2-tone gold circular pattern damaskeen. Watch is fronted by its correct double-sunk enamel Gothic numeral dial and is housed in a gold-filled hunting case recase that has a small house scene engraved on its rear. Movement serial number is 1381584 which dates this watch to about 1897. Running and a nice looking movement with good 2-tone color. Barrel bridge has a small spot at its left perimeter edge. Dial has a fracture at its lower right corner of the inner chapter with this small triangular shaped corner segment lifting a bit out of level, and dial has some scattered faint hairlines elsewhere. Elgin National Watch Co. Raymond railroad grade 183, model 2, class 1 pocket watch in excellent working condition. Serial number 7713004 dates this pocket watch to 1899. The size 18 full hunter case is absolutely beautiful. It is like looking at a piece of art. There are no initials or personal engravings on any of the covers. There are no visible dents, scratches or imperfections in any of the surfaces. All covers fit and function perfectly. The front cover pops open when the crown is depressed. The bow stands up in place when released. There is a steam locomotive engraving on front cover. A view of a scenic river valley with train bridge winding over the river with steamboats on the river, the detail and craftsmanship is incredible. This is a one of a kind combination railroad grade B. Raymond in a beautiful hand engraved size 18 hunter case. You will not find another preserved in this original condition. The railroad grade 17 jewel movement is clean. The balance wheel has a brisk rhythmic motion. Raymond winds, sets and runs it is keeping accurate time. It may require cleaning, oiling and adjusting to maintain it as an accurate time piece. This is the nicest railroad grade size 18 hunter case I have ever had the chance to possess. It has been well maintained and well cared for 117 years. This is your chance to own a one of a kind museum piece railroad watch. You will not find one in nicer condition.
