Estate Antique Private Label Gold Filled Hunting Case Pendant Watch C3988. Here is a private label, Betsy Ross Jewelers, pendant watch from the turn of the century around 1900. They had a jewelry store in St. At the time, a merchant could have watches identified with their names. These watches were produced by Illinois, Elgin, Hampden and others for businesses around the country. This particular watchcase is a 20-year gold filled model that is 35mm (1 1/4 diameter). The watch movement is 28mm or a 3/0 US size. Condition wise, the watch case in in excellent condition. It has beautiful Art Nouveau design engraved on each side. All 3 hinged opening are tight and open at 45 degrees, which implies that this watch was barely used. The front crystal is missing. The front cover does not stay closed. The balance wheel needs balanced and only moves if it’s pushed with a small tool. The watch winds continuously and DOES NOT RUN. An antique Elgin pocket watch in an engraved hunting case with a white enamel dial, roman numeral indices, a seconds dial at 6 0′clock and blue steel hands. The case is heavily engraved with a garden scene. Metal: Gold plated Movement: Elgin National Watch Co. USA # 6706220, 7 jewels, 3/4 plate, Grade 117. Measures: 1 5/8 in diameter. Markings: The dial is marked “Elgin”, The interior of the case is marked “Rambler, 14, 158094″. The seconds hand is broken and floating under the crystal. The case has some scuffs and scratches.

1902 New York Standard watch NOT WORKING. Dial is cracked (not the glass). It does not wind up, needs repair. The case is from Philadelphia watch co. Gold filled but it does not have markings of what kind of gold was used. It has the initials HCE. It’s a beautiful case. Listing as fair since the watch is not working, the case has some signs of wear as pictured.

Antique American Waltham 1902 GF Hunting Case Pocket Watch ETC10274. Here is an American Waltham gold filled 6 size pocket watch serial #11517518. The movement is a Lady Waltham model 1890 that was made in 1902. It is a three-quarter plate 16 jewel stem set nickel movement in a gold-filled hunting case. The watch is about 50 millimeters or 1 7 /8 inches across the front of the case so its big. Condition wise, the watch case has Victorian scrollwork on both sides and is in excellent condition showing little wear or use so it’s really nice. I see a tiny hairline between 7 and 8 o’clock on the watch dial which does not affect the appearance or performance of the watch. The watch is in good restorable condition and can be used just as it is. The mechanical (winding type) (122) year old watch is fully wound and tries to run but stops, so it does not run. It does, however, continue to run when I put winding pressure on the winding stem indicating that it is fixable. Note: carrying or wearing these types of mechanical watches helps keeps them running on time.
