Antique Victorian English Sterling Silver Pocket Watch Case. Beautifully decorated with angels on the silver front. Hallmarked for Sheffield 1907. Original condition case with deep green velvet and silk interior. Silver is in very good condition please view photos. The pocket watch is sterling silver, with an unusual hallmark of 3 standing bears. And marked 935, slightly higher than the English standard of 925. I believe the mark to be a Swiss assay hallmark. Height 8.3 cm. Width 7.3 cm. Depth 2.6 cm. The watch is not working and does not have any glass on the front face. I have owned this for 45 years, it has just lived in a cabinet display, as is. Up for sale, antique Victorian French gilt brass and beveled glass pocket watch holder display case box, Grand Tour souvenir. The case is lined with cushioned silk. Top of the case has a reversed painting/collage of city square depicting statue on a high pedestal with background building. Bottom portion of the painting is decorated with mother of pearl fragments and printed title possible reads “A’NGERS – Statue de David d’Angers” The image is distorted and not very clear, possibly due to humidity. The case also has holding/hanging handle. Measurements: Height with handle up to 4 ½ inches- Height of the case 3 ¾ inches Width 2 3/8 inches Depth 1 ¾ inches. Condition: Silk lining is worn. Watch chain has been converted with a central t-bar with coin holder, some minor knocks to batten links. Sovereign holder is rolled gold stamped 20 years and is in excellent condition with no loss of plate and good movement it has been monogrammed.
