This pocket watch comes with it’s original case that is marked: Case, Carrying, Watch, Navigation U. ADAMDON Tecumseh, Michigan, U. The case also has a viewing crystal so you don’t have to take the watch out of it’s case to check the time! Watch is suspended by springs attached to the case to protect it from shock and movement. Army Air Force Pocket Watch is a 16 size (case diameter 51 mm). This is an AN 5740, Master Navigation Watch, with a 1941 contract date and Army Air Force markings (see images case back). The movement is a Hamilton 4992B with a 24-hour dial and a sweep second hand. The watch has 22 jewels and is equipped with the military hacking mechanism. The dial is original and excellent. This is a very sharp example and fully original. The watch is running and keeping reasonable time! It also includes the Navigational Pocket watch case World War II era. FOR YOUR CONSIDERATION, I OFFER TO YOU A. 1951 Hamilton 992B Railroad Pocket Watch 21j Housed in 10K G. Bar over Crown Case. This is a beautiful pocket watch, also another one out from my personal collection, I offer you a 1951 Hamilton 992B Railroad Pocket Watch 21j, lever set Crown and stem wind. Model 5, Adjusted to temp. And 6 positions, the movement was last. Serviced on Feb 20 2021. It is super clean, It Winds, Sets & Runs, keeps Excellent time, ticking strong. Housed in a nice 10K G. The bow is tight, both covers glide on/off smoothly and seals shut. The thick glass crystal is clear with some light scratches. The hands are Black Spade and whip in excellent condition. Both covers showing wear around the edges, slight ding on the left side of the case body, the top of the crown is worn some, the pattern on the edge of the bezel does not match the pattern of the case back. The bow is rose gold color the casing is yellow, this is not the original casing for this model. The beautiful double sunk boxcar dial with Bold Arabic Numerals and accompanied by the sub-dial at the 6 Oclock position. This dial is almost in mint condition, showing a faint hairline on top of 3 Oclock. Still, this is a very beautiful and presentable pocket watch with amazing Dead On accuracy! “M INTY” HAMILTON 992B RAILROAD GRADE POCKET WATCH. Because of my age I must sell watches in my collection. The 992B was the last Railroad Grade pocket watch designed by the Hamilton Watch Company. It took about 10 years, from 1931 to 1040, to complete the design. The first 992B from the new design was produced in 1940. Hamilton continued production of 992B’s for Railroad Service until they closed their doors in 1969. This marked the end of American made Railroad Grade pocket watches. This watch is a 1961, Model 5, 992B, 21 Jewels, Adjusted 6 Positions, with a Melamine 121 Heavy Gothic Double Sunk dial in a screw back and bezel Yellow Gold Filled Hamilton #17 case made by the Star Watch Case Company. The Model #17 case was introduced in 1957. This watch, movement SN C474967 was made in 1961. The movement was Produced, Cased and Timed at the Hamilton Watch Company in Lancaster, Pennsylvania. The watch is in Excellent condition and keeps good time. I don’t know when it was last cleaned so to keep “Railroad Time” again it would need to be serviced. Hamilton 992 B, a classic Railroad accepted pocket watch that was manufactured in 1947 according to the serial number C275246.. Very bright movement that appears as new… No spots or service marks or other distractions.. Movement Marked as it typically is, 21 Jewels, Adjusted to 6 Positions and Temp. Please view pictures for detail… The Dbl sunk dial is perfect as are the Deep Blued hand set.. The 10k gold filled Model A case is very nice.. No wear thru beading… Covers screw down as they should.. Only distraction is at some point a case screw loosened and mad a mark inside the rear cover… Case is numbered K383745.. Front bezel is fitted with a clear glass crystal.. Watch winding and lever setting is as it should be…. Watch comes in what I think is an original White cigarette box that has a bottom tag indicating case Model and dial style.. Box is perfect, no chips by hinge and has blue inner liner in base and lid liner.. A very clean Railroad Approved and accepted watch that keeps great time..
