This is a very rare, beautiful pocket watch. It features a gilt case, a triple sunk ivory color dial with roman numerals. It was manufactured about 1890 with a production run of ONLY 400. There is wear on the back case where the gold plating has worn through from use, please look carefully at the pictures. The bezel and back screw on and off easily. The case was a very worn gold filled case, I polished it down to brass. It is not a factory display case, it was made using an original Illinois Watch Case Co. 10 year gold filled case and the back has been machined to accept a crystal. This has been polished and will tarnish as time goes on. 105 years old in an age when most things are headed to the dump after a year or two [if you are lucky]. Looks and runs great.
