50mm (5cm) across case without crown. A stunning gold filled full hunter. The case is a Dennison STAR 10 year guaranteed (from date of manufacture) each part is made from 2 plates of gold with a plate of composition between them, vastly superior to electroplating which only deposits a very thin layer of gold. Good condition case, very clean and bright throughout, all hinges are good, all covers open and close well. Front cover pops open with a depression of the crown, as it should. Front and rear covers open to 90 degrees. Fantastic condition case, slight small ding area on front of case where the bow/chain impacted over the years, corresponding mark inside front (probably left after correcting the ding to front) No major scratches. The dial is bright and clean, no hairline cracks or chips, signed “Waltham USA”. Arabic numbers, blued steel hands. The movement is a Waltham 17 Jewel model 1908 dating to 1918, damascened, gold adjuster star, running well and keeps good time. Good acrylic crystal in great condition. Complete with rolled gold Albert chain. Presented in a fitted velvet pocket watch box and velvet pouch for chain. Great for wedding, graduation, retirement, Christmas, Fathers day or birthday present. Recently Fully Serviced, including modern alloy “unbreakable” mainspring. Servicing is defined as the piece being disassembled, cleaned, inspected and adjusted if necessary. It is then re-assembled and correctly oiled, timed for accuracy and adjusted if required. The mainspring will be replaced with a modern alloy type and the piece will be bench-tested for at least one day. I restore all of my watches to a fully working condition. It is my aim to provide a watch that is not only running but working to a usable state. My watches can be worn and used for their intended purpose on a daily basis. The time keeping should certainly be within +- 5 minutes per 24 hours but I aim for +-3 or better. I do offer guarantees, the details of which can be found on my website for Time Pocket Watches. Waltham 17 Jewel, sterling silver mens full hunter pocket watch with silver Albert chain and box. 50cm across the case. The case by Dennison is sterling silver hallmarked Birmingham 1916. In good condition, some slight marks commensurate with age, no major scratches, some minor marks and minor dings. Engine turned pattern to front and rear, coin edged, vacant cartouche to center of front cover. The front cover pops open with a depression of the crown, as it should. Front cover opens a little past 90 degrees and rear covers open to 90 degrees. All hinges are good. Mineral glass crystal in perfect condition. The dial is bright and clean, no hairline cracks or chips. Black Arabic numerals, blued steel hands. Model 1899 17 jewel movement, beautifully damascened, micrometer adjuster star regulator dated to c1902. Fully serviced including modern alloy “unbreakable” mainspring. Comes with a fitted velvet pocket watch case and a silver cleaning cloth. Complete with solid 925 silver heavy gauge, 7mm Albert chain with conical stone fob. Hallmarked 925 silver on T bar and clip. The fob is marked 18 GP (gold plated) on link chain. 41 grams in weight. Presented in a fitted, velvet pocket watch box with brass trim and a velvet pouch for the chain.
