Elgin National Watch Co. Father Time, 18s, grade 252, model 7, 21 jewel pocket watch in very good working condition. Serial number 9557524 dates this pocket watch to 1902. Watch case is hallmarked C. Crescent Watch Case Co. The hinged watch case has beautiful beaded detail around the bezel and back cover, it does show signs of wear. This pocket watch winds, sets and runs with no issues it keeps accurate time. This is a very heavily made Elgin model 21 jewel railroad grade movement. The production numbers are relatively low for this grade the database indicates 19,000 total production. Please review all pictures to judge the condition of this Father Time pocket watch for yourself. It may require cleaning oiling and adjusting to maintain it as an accurate time piece. It is not perfect it does show signs of normal patina for a pocket watch that is 116 years old. Quality pocket watches timed the railroads that built America and people of the turn of the century relied on a pocket watch for everyday life.
